Adversity vs. Torment

Does everyone agree that adversity and torment are two different things? In school I was taught to overcome adversity, but they never mentioned torment. That’s because torment is a completely different animal. It can discourage you, and rob you of your confidence. So prepare yourself (because no one will prepare you) for the relentless nature that torment is. First build an unshakeable confidence that can see you through the tough times. Then build an unbreakable faith that will fuel your hope when you need it most.

I just wanted to post something inspirational today because I feel like I can provide comfort to my readers. You all should know that you are not alone in your struggles. We each go through out own trials, but it’s only going to make you stronger. But it will only make you stronger if you choose to accept what happened and learn something from the experience. I know that is easier said than done, so fake it till you make it.

If you ever need to chat just message me and I’ll try my best to help you out.

Here’s the Good News!

I am here to spread the good news, that God loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus, to redeem us from the wages that sin required. The wages of sin is death, and God does not want to see us perish. On the contrary, He has offered us eternal life with Him in Heaven, and all we have to do is accept that gift, and believe in Him.

Choosing Between Windows and Linux? I say why do you have to pick just one!

I recently installed Ubuntu alongside my Windows 10 installation on a Dell Inspiron 3147 that was designed for Windows 8.1. So you can imagine the trouble I had trying to get it to work. First I had tried a different distro, but apparently the app I used to create a bootable USB drive didn’t work correctly for Dells. I had almost given up on installing Linux on this machine but decided to try it one more time, and viola, I finally got it to work.

There are a few things to know before you install Ubuntu, first is that you don’t have to create a partition in Windows before hand. That’s because the installer will do it for you, matter of fact, let the installer create the partition. Otherwise it will create yet another partition next to the one you made.

Using the Ubuntu OS is nice, but I have to say that Windows has more features. There is a reason that Windows dominates the desktop and enterprise markets. I just wish they would create a lite weight version of Windows without all the extras and tracking. I doubt they would ever give up their forceful updates or tracking features, it’s how they make money.

So in summary I guess what I’m trying to say is that you can have the best of both worlds if you have a hard drive that’s large enough.

Life Can Be Difficult Sometimes

I’m dealing with some people who just don’t get it. They don’t understand what it takes to live among others peacefully. They lack the mental capacity to wrap their minds around proper social engagement. I’m at a loss for what to do, because to change someone’s behavior, it takes years of therapy, or a downfall. I don’t pray for people to get disciplined in that way just to learn a lesson, but sometimes that’s what it takes.

I pray for the patience it’s going to take to deal with these people. I ask that you pray for me and ask God to put me in a better place.

New Lease on Life! Can’t let anyone bring me down.

I subscribe to the Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary Word of the Day newsletter, and recently I learned about enervate. It means to lower the mental or physical strength of someone with words or actions. I’ve decided to never let anyone enervate me in any way. Back in the day when someone said cruel words to me, I would become angry, sad, or depressed. But not anymore, I have a new lease on life.

Ever since I read the Bible, I have been coping with life on a different level. I encourage you to give it a try, read the whole thing and see if your life changes. Mine has, and I believe yours can too.

So any, I just wanted to let you know what I’m up to, and how I’m dealing with my problems. If you wanna chat just email me and we can pick an app, preferably it’ll be Signal.
